When we received a couple Episencial Babytime! skin care products in my baby’s monthly Citrus Lane box, I was excited to try them out! I shared my Citrus Lane review with the good people at Babytime! and, lo and behold, they set us up with full-size products of their best-selling 3-Step Babycare System as a giveaway for YOU, the awesome Minute For Mom readers!

This got me interested in learning more about Babytime! and its products.

Turns out, they are associated with Dr. Greene, whom I have found to be a rather insightful and very helpful resource! Also, the products are organic and A-OK for baby! I easily plunked down $5 to get a sample pack of all their goodies, especially since received $5 towards a future purchase–and free shipping. (You can get this great deal, also, just see code below post.)

I’d like to share our experiences with the products in the Giveaway Pack, as well as, a review some of the other goodies I’ve had a chance to try:

The Signature 3-Step Program – Consists of:  1. Cleanse, 2. Nourish, and 3. Defend

  1. Cleanse = Playful Wash, 8 oz.

YUM! This smells delightful, a light citrus scent. It’s easy to use, because it rinses nice and clean off of baby. It leaves Bean’s skin soft and his hair looks so silky, yet it’s completely manageable! It’s really quite a nice product! Apparently, it’s the “#1 Organic Wash chosen by Hospitals”… that, of course, is quite impressive!

2.  Nourish = Soothing Cream, 4 oz.

This is a nice, light, and unscented lotion. I used it as an all-over body cream on Bean after bathing with Playful Wash, it left his skin hydrated, but not greasy! It would be a perfect cream for when his little feet and hands get a bit dry.   It was created to comfort irritated baby skin with Neem, Calendula, and Probiotics.

3.  Defend = Sunny Sunscreen, SPF 35, 2 oz.

This sunscreen is great to keep in the stroller for fun times, though I hadn’t had a chance to apply ahead of time! It’s the perfect size tube and gives serious coverage. It would not be my first choice as our go-to sunscreen, as it feels a tad thick, though I love its unscented and creamy zinc formula.

It’s water resistant for 80 minutes (wow!) and is “EWG top safety rated”.

Here’s a couple more Episencial Babytime! products we had the pleasure of trying:

Snuggly Lotion, 8 oz. (Nourish)

Num num! This lotion smells so great, I love putting it on Bean! It’s light, non-greasy, and smell like delicious berries! His skin seems to really love it. It’s described as a “silky light moisturizer for everyday use, massage”… I’d have to agree!

Nurturing Balm, 2.7 oz. (Defend)

We haven’t actually had a chance to try this out yet, however I really like the smell (I’m big into Tea Tree Oil!) and I can tell it’s going to be quite the skin protection/healing balm for Bean’s little bum, when needed! It is, indeed, thick enough to be a great “barrier protection for bum and sensitive places”!

I hope you have a chance to check out this great baby skincare line for your little one!

Here’s a $5 -off + free shipping code for your order at www.episencial.com/babytime.com:  HEALTHYBABYTIME

Enjoy your baby’s soft bums, Mamas!

Kai and Mama Or Coast May 2013

Howdy! I’m a former San Diego resident, but from Portland, OR, and now living in the Bay Area with my hubs, 2 doggies, and little Water Dragon Boy “Bean”,  born in Fall 2012.  Our family loves to travel and play and I love to write, cook/bake and create jewelry for my Etsy shop.  When I finally get a “minute for mom,” I try to fit in any of the above, and write up reviews, how-tos, and general funniness for you here, and at my Bay Area-specific blog, www.SFONewb.com! Enjoy!
